Organize core initiative

LA Climate Week is all about collaboration. Become a knowledge partner and co-organize one of our core initiatives.

LA CLIMATE WEEK

Key Initiatives

LA Climate Week is built on a foundation of impactful core initiatives designed to drive meaningful change. From our Sustainable Business Market showcasing local eco-friendly brands to youth-focused programs empowering the next generation of climate leaders, our initiatives bring together diverse stakeholders to address pressing environmental challenges.

We formed an LA-based coalition of environmental groups to unify climate action efforts. Members will join planning sessions for LA Climate Week, access a contact database, and attend capacity-building workshops. Our ‘open door’ initiative fosters networking and collaboration.

Los Angeles Climate Week will engage families, youth, and professionals. The summit will collaborate with schools and universities, distributing 200,000 digital Climate Action Toolkits. These toolkits will outline local climate programs, helping students and residents start their environmental journeys and drive positive change.

The Clean Energy Expo will unite businesses, government, and NGOs to support LA’s electrification goals and promote clean energy. Attendees can learn about the latest in electric vehicles, solar power, and energy-efficient appliances. Educational sessions will cover the benefits of electrification, steps for homeowners, and the impact on reducing the city’s carbon footprint.

LA Climate Week will feature a pop-up shop and tabling event to highlight small local businesses’ role in combating climate change and promoting a circular economy. It will showcase eco-conscious products in fashion, beauty, home goods, and food. The event will support local, sustainable enterprises and include educational sessions on sustainable consumption, thrifting, and recycling.

99% of those working on climate by 2030 aren’t yet involved. LA Climate Week offers a unique chance to learn how professional skills can impact climate. Resources include an LA Climate Companies and Climate Jobs Board, a learning and upskilling event series, and climate career networking events.

Insights from LA community discussions and surveys will be captured in a flagship white paper. This document will help decision-makers understand community needs and guide NGOs, policymakers, and businesses in creating strategies to address local environmental challenges. By aligning decisions with community input, the white paper aims to enhance climate action initiatives in Los Angeles.
