Climate Film Festival: LA Climate Week Pop-Up

The Climate Film Festival is a new cultural organization with an annual festival, year-round programming, and educational resources in New York City. It was founded in 2023 by a group of passionate climate professionals, artists, and curators. CFF soft-launched in 2023 with a sold-out “First Look” screening and panel event during Climate Week NYC, and it has continued to organize screenings and events with partners globally.

Stranded Astronaut is a production house and artist collective with a focus on climate storytelling. Formed by a filmmaker and an environmentalist, we tell impactful stories for the planet through independent media, community programming, and artistic curation.

Our independent filmmaking centers on the intersection of art and climate, spanning across genres of experimental, eco-horror, and documentary. Previous works have been showcased at COP28 and COP29, MoMI, Climate Film Festival, Final Girls Berlin, Hawai'i International Film Festival, and on Hawaiian Airlines. Current ongoing projects include "The Climate Dispatch podcast in partnership with Sierra Club, and the "Teaching Climate Together" educational web series produced with Queer Brown Vegan.

Earth Calling is a festival and event series that harnesses the music that moves us to ignite the momentum nature needs.

We act as a bridge between culture and climate, with events designed to awaken our connection to nature, build community, and bring us back in sync with the rhythms of the Earth.
