History in Bloom: A TreePeople Archival Exhibition
What does it take to transform a city one tree at a time?
Step into the story of one of Los Angeles’ most enduring environmental legacies. History in Bloom is a new archival exhibition celebrating more than five decades of TreePeople’s community-rooted mission to plant and care for trees across LA and beyond.
Opening March 23 through April 8, 2026, this immersive exhibition invites Angelenos to walk through the milestones that have shaped the environmental landscape of our city — from the organization’s founding in 1973, through early volunteer tree-planting campaigns, to pioneering work in watershed restoration and green infrastructure. Through photographs, artifacts, and personal stories, visitors will see the dedicated individuals whose hands, hearts, and vision helped grow a movement.
Whether you’re a longtime TreePeople supporter, a student of environmental history, or simply curious about how community forestry and restoration work, this exhibition offers something meaningful for every visitor.
