Join us for the LA Climate Reality Picnic & Botanic Garden Tour!

Get ready for a fun and laid-back day outdoors! Enjoy a picnic with other climate enthusiasts and explore the beautiful California Botanic Garden on a guided tour. It’s the perfect chance to connect with nature, learn about native plants, and chat about how we can make a difference for the planet. Bring your friends, a reusable water bottle, and your curiosity!

Lunch provided by LA Climate Reality from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Admission to the California Botanic Garden is also covered by LA Climate Reality. You must arrive by 1 p.m. to go on the Botanic Garden tour (we have to enter the garden as a group). * If you have an LA County Library or LA Public Library card, please bring it to help us save money on the entrance fee.

The tour will travel around 3-4 miles along easy, flat (mostly paved) surfaces. Bring a hydration pack or reusable water bottle.

California Botanic Garden is the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants, promoting botany, conservation, and horticulture to inspire, inform, and educate the public and scientific community about California's native flora. Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, the Garden is a living museum with curated collections of more than 22,000 California native plants, some of which are rare or endangered. Spread across 86 acres in Claremont, California, the Garden is located approximately 35 miles east of Los Angeles. The Garden displays about 1170 taxa of California plants, including those native to the California Floristic Province.

We are everyday citizens, teachers, scientists, activists, artists, storytellers – an all volunteer army of people who are working to EDUCATE on the truth of climate change and ACTIVATE around how we solve it – right here where we live, work, and play.
