About Event

Is your home operating at its peak potential? Join Elephant Energy and the Sierra Club for an expert-led webinar designed to help Los Angeles homeowners navigate the transition to a high-efficiency and high-comfort lifestyle.

As local policies shift toward cleaner energy, the “how-to” of home upgrades can feel overwhelming. This session brings together a powerhouse panel of experts from USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), LADWP, Clear Result, and Elephant Energy to demystify the technical, financial, and health-related aspects of home electrification. We’ll talk about how modern heat pumps, solar, and induction technology can create a more resilient, high-performance home.

What We’ll Cover:

• The Health & Efficiency Connection: Why moving away from gas impacts your indoor air quality and home performance.

• The Technology Puzzle: What does home electrification mean?

• The Policy Landscape: How evolving CA building codes and local LA policies are paving the way for faster adoption.

• Maximizing Incentives: A deep dive into available rebates from various utilities to offset upfront costs.

Meet the Experts:

• Moderator: Aura Vasquez, Sierra Club
• Policy & Building Standards: USGBC representatives
• Efficiency & Rebate Programs: Clear Result: Home Performance Plus
• Heat Pump & Tech Implementation: Akanksha Mathur, Elephant Energy
• Local Utility Outlook: LADWP representatives

And we’ll wrap with a live Q&A, so you can get answers tailored to your home and situation.
