Our cleanup will be co-hosted with The LMU Outdoor & Adventure Recreation (OAR) program that supports a range of student clubs, including LMU Surfrider, and offers students the opportunity to get off campus and explore the great outdoors in Los Angeles and beyond!

Purpose
Surfrider beach cleanups serve to raise awareness about the trash & litter problem confronting our waterways. The data collected from the trash you find at our cleanups helps shape Surfrider’s plastic reduction policy campaign initiatives.
Role
Along with joining an active and vibrant community of volunteers, you will gain some insight into what we do at the Surfrider Foundation at our LA Chapter and at the national level, collect trash from the beach, weigh your findings, and sort/record items found for our trash database.
All cleanup equipment is provided- including gloves, grabbers, reusable trash bags, sunscreen, and a water refill station- just remember to bring a reusable water bottle!
