About Event

The Recycle-Ball is Every Day Action’s annual gala fundraiser and the driving force behind our daily work to fight food insecurity and reduce waste across Los Angeles. This year’s theme, Avant-Garden, brings together an inspiring evening of design, community, and purpose- uniting leaders from the entertainment industry, philanthropy, and local businesses in support of a shared mission.

Guests will experience a dynamic night featuring culinary partners, wine and spirits tastings, immersive design elements, and both live and silent auctions, all curated to reflect the creativity and collaboration at the heart of our work. The evening also creates space for meaningful connection, bringing together a powerful network of changemakers who care deeply about sustainability, equity, and community impact.

Funds raised from the Recycle-Ball support nearly one-third of Every Day Action’s annual operations, allowing us to recover and redistribute over 140,000 pounds of surplus food each year to more than 65 nonprofit and grassroots organizations across a 90-mile service area. This work not only nourishes thousands of individuals and families experiencing food insecurity but also reduces environmental impact by diverting food from landfills.

More than a celebration, the Recycle-Ball is a call to action—an opportunity to come together, support one another, and be part of a solution that transforms excess into access and waste into nourishment.

Every Day Action

Every Day Action is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit transforming the food system by recovering high-quality surplus food from film and television productions, restaurants, businesses, and events, and delivering it directly to nonprofit and community organizations serving individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Since 2020, Every Day Action has built a rapid-response, community-driven model that bridges the gap between excess and need, redistributing more than 140,000 pounds of food annually across a 90-mile service area.

At the core of this work is a commitment to dignity, sustainability, and community care. By partnering with over 65 nonprofit and grassroots organizations, Every Day Action ensures that recovered food reaches people quickly and efficiently while reducing the environmental impact of food waste. The organization also creates paid opportunities for film industry professionals through its driver program, further strengthening the communities it serves.

Every Day Action exists to reimagine what is possible when communities come together—turning what would be wasted into something that nourishes, supports, and connects us all.
