Minority Renewable Energy Project of California

MREP CA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to address one of California’s most pressing challenges: ensuring the state’s transition to clean energy is both effective and just. MREP CA is a community-centered non-profit organization dedicated to advancing clean energy equity using a framework focused on awareness, access, application, and advocacy.
We support urban communities by helping residents, workers, property owners, youth, and organizations understand why clean energy matters and how to navigate the transition in tangible, practical, and meaningful ways.
California’s clean energy goals promise lower emissions, healthier neighborhoods, and economic opportunities. However, many communities remain disconnected and without guidance, access to training, and financial support to participate. This gap highlights the need for a just transition ecosystem—one that ensures the benefits of clean energy are accessible, understandable, and achievable for all. MREP CA was established to help meet this need.
