Stranded Astronaut is a production house and artist collective with a focus on climate storytelling. Formed by a filmmaker and an environmentalist, we tell impactful stories for the planet through independent media, community programming, and artistic curation.
Our independent filmmaking centers on the intersection of art and climate, spanning across genres of experimental, eco-horror, and documentary. Previous works have been showcased at COP28 and COP29, MoMI, Climate Film Festival, Final Girls Berlin, Hawai’i International Film Festival, and on Hawaiian Airlines. Current ongoing projects include “The Climate Dispatch podcast in partnership with Sierra Club, and the “Teaching Climate Together” educational web series produced with Queer Brown Vegan.
