We are now accepting event submissions until March 31, 2025, 11:59 PST. We encourage you to apply as early as possible to maximize impact, reach, and inclusion. Make sure to read the event submission process below to submit your event.
Whilst the LA Climate Week Steering Committee and Organizing Team work on operations, key initiatives, logistics, amplification, and creating the overall platform, LA Climate Week is ultimately made possible by the many organizations, businesses, and institutions that will host climate events throughout the week. Event hosts are responsible for ideating, organizing, and covering the costs of their events. All event submissions will be reviewed and added to the LA Climate Week Calendar.
Our team will be matching businesses that have offered their venues (restaurants, corporate spaces, community centers, shops, gardens) with event hosts looking for venues. We will also match interested speakers and support with event marketing.
Please use this as a reference to properly submit your event to the calendar where all registered attendees, participants, and sponsors can preview and sign up for approved events.
To make your event as impactful as possible, determine what you want to accomplish with this event. Create a clear set of goals that may include:
Inclusivity: Events should be inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences.
Community Engagement: Events should encourage active participation and dialogue among attendees.
Education: Events should introduce ideas, technologies, or methods for addressing climate issues.
Partnerships: Events that involve collaborations with other organizations or community groups are highly encouraged.
Determine how much you can spend on the event. Take a look at potential costs for a venue, printing, design, marketing, food, drinks, decorations, technical equipment, and more, to determine your event budget. Whilst we encourage your event to be free, you may set a ticket price. Ask businesses in your area if they are willing to give in-kind donations such as food, drinks, or a venue to host the event.
We know that finding a venue or speakers may be difficult. Our team may be able to introduce you to cooperating venues for free from LA Climate Week Partners and other venues with non-profit pricing and other creative spaces like restaurants. If you need help, e-mail us at: events@laclimateweek.com
Research people that you’d like to get involved in your event and start outreach. Our team has a speaker database of people who may be able to speak or facilitate LA Climate Week events. If you need help, e-mail us at: events@laclimateweek.com
Keeping your target audience in mind, pick a time and date (April 6-13, 2025) for your event. Add it to the Official LA Climate Week Calendar.
Make sure to promote your event across your social media and communication channels! If you are interested in LA Climate Week co-branding, or want us to promote your event on our platforms, please review the following steps. If you are in need of design direction or assistance, please email: media@laclimateweek.com
