Homeboy Threads is the 13th social enterprise of the 30+ year old non-profit organization, Homeboy Industries, the largest re-entry and rehabilitation program for formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people. The program provides wrap around services including job training and job placement in our social enterprises. At Homeboy Threads, we give second chances to people and apparel.
Located in Los Angeles, Homeboy Threads partners with brands, retailers, and work with other partners in the pre-/post-consumer textile supply chain. We specialize in sorting, grading, all the pre-processing and routing of apparel and textiles to ensure that they’re used to their fullest potential - either reuse or recycle. We also provide valuable data reporting for our partners, in addition to customizing solutions to help them achieve their circularity and social impact commitments.
