About Event

The clothes on your back are a political act. Every dollar spent on industrial fashion fuels extraction, waste, and ecological harm. Over 100 billion garments are produced each year—most cheaply made, oil-based, and disposable.

Patchwork is a community clothing swap and celebration of sustainable style at The Expo, a new studio and event space in West Adams. Taking place during LA Climate Week, it’s part of a shift toward more conscious, creative ways of living and dressing.

This is for people with great taste—those who’ve built a wardrobe they’re proud of and want to trade pieces with others who get it. The better the crowd, the better the swap.

Expect more than a typical swap. We’re building a full experience: DJ sets, an open bar courtesy of YUZY, plant-based tacos from Tierra Taco, a live upcycling atelier, and a pop-up photoshoot to capture your best looks.

Bring pieces you’ve loved and are ready to pass on. Take what calls to you. Remix, restyle, and reimagine your wardrobe.

Trade with intention. Every piece that changes hands is a small act of defiance against disposability.

Come for the clothes, stay for the energy. Leave with something new—without buying new.
