About Event

Have you ever lain on the beach and noticed the feeling of the sand between your toes or in your hands? Did you know that that very sand plays a big role in water quality and the health of its beaches?

We hold monthly coastal health surveys to find out how our beaches are doing and keep track of changes over the months. We use this data (that you actually collect!) to work with districts and administrations on how we manage our beaches to ensure long-term health, as well as educate the public about coastal issues. These events are fun, free, and kid-friendly, and no prior experience is required!

Join your favorite local nerds (that’s us, 7 Seas Collective!) on April 11th in Redondo Beach at 10:30 am to learn more about your beaches and discover what lies on and beneath the sand, and how they keep our coast from crumbling.

Coffee refreshments will be available for free. Bring a tumbler or cup to fill!
Photography/videography will be captured during the event. By attending, you consent to have your likeness recorded.
Registration required, available here, on our Instagram, and on our website.
