About Event

Thousands of bees, butterflies, beetles, birds, and bats quietly sustain Southern California’s native ecosystems every day, but their future is at risk due to habitat loss and lack of access to native milkweed plants. This Earth Month, we’re doing something about it.

Join TreePeople for Pollinator Palooza, a joyful, community-centered restoration day and education fair at the beautiful Castaic Lake. As part of our ongoing mission to plant 6,000 native milkweed plants across the region, volunteers, families, and nature lovers of all ages are invited to get their hands in the soil and help restore critical pollinator habitat.

Participants will plant and take home narrowleaf milkweed—one of the most important host plants for western monarch butterflies—while exploring a free environmental resource fair with educational booths, activities, and prizes. Don’t miss a special highlight of the day: the pollinator-themed costume fashion show! Show off your most creative pollinator-inspired look and celebrate the beauty and diversity of our mighty pollinators.

This event is open to volunteers, families, students, and anyone with a love for nature and the outdoors. No experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and your best pollinator fit.
