For LA Climate Week, we are activating over 100 pallets of liquidated studio wardrobe – redirecting usable garments from waste streams directly into the hands of creatives, artists, and the public in collaboration with The Salvation Army and our partners at Saniset.
Starting with an upcycling workshop hosted by Second Life Studio, followed by a documentary screening, we will host an event that invites attendees to engage directly with reclaimed wardrobe through a structured distribution system, allowing participants to select and style garments in real time, by purchasing a sustainable tote to fill with pieces in our showroom to keep.
This is not just a showcase – it is a working model of circular fashion in action with a sustainable runway presentation happening at the culmination of the event.
- Purchase a tote
- Grab as many items as will fit in it
- Join an upcycling workshop by Second Life Studio
- Watch a screening of a documentary
- Network with industry professionals
- Engage with a live styling presentation
- Experience a sustainable fashion show featuring models and cast talent using pulled looks
- Light refreshments and a DJ
Throughout the evening, the space evolves into a living showcase of circular fashion – culminating in a live runway presentation featuring both emerging talent and community participants.
By combining redistribution, styling, and performance, Monochromatic creates a tangible bridge between sustainability theory and real-world application.
