Hosted at Kubo LB during Los Angeles Climate Week, the Sustainable Vendor Market & Upcycling Activation brings together artists, designers, and community members for a day centered on creativity, circular fashion, and conscious consumption.
This special market highlights independent brands and makers who prioritize sustainability through upcycling, small batch production, and thoughtful material use. Visitors will have the opportunity to shop directly from designers creating fashion, accessories, and art that reimagines waste and celebrates responsible design. The market aims to spotlight businesses that are redefining how products are made while supporting local creative communities.
In addition to the vendor market, guests are invited to participate in a hands on upcycling activation led by designer Elle Rali, founder of the upcycled fashion brand ELLERALI. Using reclaimed garments and materials sourced from community donations and partners such as The Salvation Army, participants can explore simple techniques to transform everyday clothing into something new.
The activation will include creative stations where guests can add patches and embellishments, customize garments, or learn how to transform a T shirt into a reusable bag. This interactive experience encourages participants to see the creative potential in materials already in circulation.
By bringing together a sustainable marketplace and an educational upcycling experience, Kubo creates a space where community, culture, and climate action intersect. The event highlights how creativity and collaboration can inspire more sustainable ways of producing, shopping, and engaging with fashion. 🌎✨
